This playful space uses our in stock Circulos Black 12″ x 12″ pattern. This large format (most standard cement tiles are 8″ x 8″) classic pattern in black and white ties the space together inside and out. It is even used on the outdoor patio and looks amazing with the hardwood and black steel finishes.

Finn’s Southern Kitchen – Louisville, KY

The newly-opened Finn’s Southern Kitchen in Louisville is housed in the former offices of an 1800 era cotton mill. The building was recently converted into Finn’s restaurant while preserving many of its deco features such as the glass blocking, flooring, moldings, entrance features as well as returning the windows to their original size and splendor.

We are pleased that our in stock Diagonal VI handmade cement tile in Light Green and White was used as a focal point behind the bar.

Finn’s serves southern food prepared from locally sourced ingredients in beautiful surroundings creating a cherished repose from which to enjoy a comfortable meal. Specialties include homemade biscuits, fresh salads, sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken and fish along with craft beers from local breweries.

Flagship Showroom! – Tampa, FL

Cement Tile Shop is so excited to announce that we will be opening our flagship retail design showroom…and what better place to do that than in our own backyard?

We are thrilled to be joining our favorite neighborhood, Seminole Heights, in Tampa, FL. The historic, hip, thriving neighborhood is a perfect match with the products we offer.

The showroom will be a great place to check out many of our patterns and will be a great resource for architects, designers and retail clients. It will also provide a hands-on, interactive environment to experiment with colors and custom patterns.

Although we hope to have our design center open in June, the building will also house our new offices, with a completion date in the next few weeks. Construction is well underway, so stay tuned for more info and pics. We hope you are as excited as we are!

J. Crew – London

Cement Tile Shop was thrilled to recently provide our handmade cement tile for the new J.Crew location in East London. J.Crew Redchurch is a men’s only location and the seventh J.Crew store in the UK. Installation was completed by Bridgford Interiors Limited.

The project, using our solid black and solid white cement tiles, involved laying the tiles in various patterns throughout the store. Using solid tiles allowed for flexible pattern layouts to distinguish and separate different areas within the store. The black and white floor gives the store a classic, masculine feel.

Patchwork Random – Fairfax, VA

Jordan Design-Build Group is a full-service residential design-build firm serving the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. For a recent remodel project a client wanted to go big and bold in the kitchen whilst maintaining an eclectic style. Using our Patchwork Random selection of colorful cement tiles, they created a ceiling-high backsplash that acts as the focal point of the room. (All photos © 2015 Stacy Zarin-Goldberg Photography.)

A custom banquette filled with colorful pillows coordinates with the backsplash and anchors the light-filled corner of the kitchen, creating a cozy breakfast nook. They also installed a richly patterned pressed tin ceiling to add vintage flair to an often overlooked part of a room. Eye-catching black trim makes the windows pop and completes this bold kitchen makeover.

Bordeaux – St. Louis Park, MN

Post World War II homes are not necessarily known for their open layouts. Crush Collective, designers based in Minneapolis, MN, took on this 1950’s-era kitchen design challenge. The goal was to accommodate a family four, while incorporating a chef’s kitchen and creating a clean, simple room filled with style.

Working closely with the clients, the designers came up with thoughtful and creative design solutions. Everything in the kitchen needed to have a purpose and place, and at the same time had to reflect the artful nature of the client.

Our Bordeaux pattern was chosen to create visual interest as a backsplash over the stove and behind the hood. The handmade cement tile is a showstopper and gives the space instant personality. After looking at these pictures, we think you’ll agree!

The chalkboard for family notes and inspirations, bold light fixtures and quartzite counters all add to the overall beauty of the space and help to make the cement tile pop.

Agadir Pattern – Alpine, Utah

We have been fortunate that our cement tiles have been featured several times recently on Houzz. Our in stock Agadir cement tile looks amazing in this project by Ashley Winn Design in Alpine, Utah.

The handmade cement tile floor is the focal point of a multi-functional laundry/craft room combination. The combined spaces allow for quality family time, homework and laundry all in one charming place.

The bright barn door, pastel cabinets and green stools all add an inviting feeling to the space. With additional features like rolling baskets and a wash sink it really is a functional work and play space.

House Crashers – DIY Network

Who doesn’t love a good episode of House Crashers!

I know we do.

The hugely popular series, on the DIY Network, follows host Josh Temple as he tries to find a random customer at a home improvement store that will agree to take him to his/her house to help with a home project. After finding a “troubled” area of the home, Josh surprises the individual by agreeing to do a full remodel of the space. The project is then completed in a few short days with the help of the homeowner and friends.

We are thrilled that the show used our Bouquet II pattern in an episode of this season’s show. The episode is titled “Arched Mediterranean Kitchen” (Season 11, Episode 2) and follows a couple as they get a complete kitchen renovation. Our handmade cement tile is used on the kitchen backsplash to create a unique centerpiece for the space. The Bouquet cement tile pattern blends in perfectly with the new kitchen’s Mediterranean theme.

Patchwork Cement Tile Options

We have a new addition to our popular handmade cement tile patchwork collection!

For the first time, we now offer our random patchwork in 4″ x 4″ cement tiles. These tiles are offered in a thinner thickness than our standard tiles. They are only 15/32″ thick (1.2cm). This size and thickness of cement tile is a perfect option for kitchen backsplash and decorative wall applications. Perfect for residential or commercial applications. Better yet, this option is in stock and ready to ship!

Random – 4″ x 4″:

As with all of our Patchwork cement tile offerings, each option is a random selection of handmade cement tiles shuffled at the factory. We have no control over the patterns included. For more direct control of the patchwork consider adding additional boxes of tile patterns from our Pacific Collection.

Traditional 8″ x 8″ cement tiles in a standard thickness (5/8″) from our Pacific Collection are also offered in several color options as well as random.

BDK Restaurant at Hotel Monaco – San Francisco

BDK Restaurant at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco San Francisco is named after the late founder of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, Bill Kimpton. Designed by interior designer Ken Fulk, the restaurant has been featured in Architectural Digest and Travel + Leisure. The restaurant serves up comfort classics from Chef Heather Terhune of Top Chef fame.

The beautiful space highlights handsome materials such as raw steel, leather, warm wool plaids, darkened bronze and oak. The space has gorgeous arched windows that allow light into the open dining area. Our Harlequin pattern is used on the floors throughout. The black, white and charcoal handmade cement tiles really add to the overall feel of the space.
