Cement Tile as Art – Phoenix, AZ

Our handmade cement tile is art and this kitchen is a beautiful gallery!

A custom version of our Vine pattern was used as an accent rug surrounding the kitchen island and as a stunning backsplash in this Phoenix, AZ home. The tile rug frames the island perfectly, really making it a focal point. The Vine pattern is a favorite in our Mexican Classic Collection.

All of our patterns can be customized in the colors of your choice. Check out our cement tile customizer tool to experiment with colors and patterns. There are over 60 colors to choose from. The combinations are endless!

If you’d like to replicate these colors or need help creating the perfect tile for you, don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team – (813) 918-8718 or customerservice@cementtileshop.com.

Rock The Block on HGTV – Season 5, Episode 2 – Main Living Area

Our Rose Moroccan Zellige tiles were the highlight of the guest bath on
Episode 2 of Rock The Block on HGTV!

The contestants had to develop a main living area in some brand-new waterfront townhomes. Several bathrooms featured our handmade tiles. The first bathroom was a beautiful rose-colored retreat featuring our Rose 4″ x 4″ and White Sand 2″ x 6″ zellige tiles on the wall. The on-suite bathroom in the guest bedroom featured Vanilla 2″ x 6″ zellige tiles on the wall and Girona cement tiles on the floor.

They also designed a cozy living room, highly functional laundry room and a guest bedroom with a unique murphy bed that rises to the ceiling to create a multi-functional space. Here are some great shots of the other spaces!

Ybor City Beverage Company – Tampa, FL

Founded in 2019, the Ybor Beverage Co. is a place that reflects its community. It is a space where both coffee lovers and wine enthusiasts can find expertise, friendship and expressions of some local pride. YBC prides itself on offering local eats and beverages whenever possible. As proud Tampa natives, we at Cement Tile Shop were thrilled to have our handmade cement tile product featured in historic Ybor City. Anyone in Tampa who can appreciate artisan coffee, delicious wine and fresh local eats is welcome to check them out!

Ybor City Brewing Company - Tess II Hex - Cement Tile Shop 1

Boyd Construction, another fellow community member, did an amazing job of building out the new space which features a raw open aesthetic with lots of natural light and a collaborative, creative energy you can feel as soon as you walk in the door. The stunning Tess III Hex cement tiles line the bar and bring the room together. The Tess III cement tile pattern is a stock tile available for immediate pick-up or shipment.

The heartbeat of the Ybor Beverage Co. is the bar. It’s where the coffee’s poured in the morning and where the wine flows at night. We couldn’t be happier to be featured so prominently and tastefully in the epicenter of the action. The geometric Tess III goes perfectly with the modern aesthetic of the space. It’s black and white pattern pulls together the black highlights around the restaurant with the white counter tops and walls to create a cohesive vision for the space that is as pleasing as it is functional.

We can’t wait to come back to Ybor Beverage Co. for more coffee and beer! Thanks to the unique concept, we think the YBC will be a success for years to come, and we are happy to be a small part of it.

Starburst Hex Pattern – Utah

We recently posted a bathroom to social media from Andrea West Design in Utah. The response was fantastic, as it should be! The design team took a cool kid’s bathroom that was tiny and cramped and turned it into a large open layout. What really got everyone’s attention was the highlight of the bathroom, the unique inlaid ceiling design.

Check out the before pictures above. It’s hard to imagine that this was even the same bathroom. The vision to design and execute this space is quite incredible. The new jack and jack space, for 2 boys, incorporated their love of color and pattern and natural wood tones.

Andrea West Design took our Starburst pattern and used in the most creative of ways. This handmade cement tile can be laid in a myriad of pattern combinations, but what was chosen fits the linear space perfectly.

The fully enclosed space contains both the shower and the beautiful freestanding bathtub. The cement tile completely surrounds the tub and is flanked by glossy, linear ceramic tile. The use of the two different materials allows the patterned cement tile to stand out as a highlighted design feature.

The pretty bathroom vanity transitions perfectly into the cool colors and tones of the adjoining kid’s bedroom. We love how the blues used in both spaces tie the rooms together. Even the live edge wood door is eye catching!

All in all, an amazing job by Andrea West Design. It’s easy to see why the bathroom is a social media favorite!

Fixer Upper – All-American Farmhouse

We were so excited for our tile to be a part of this truly special episode of HGTV’s Fixer Upper.

Chip and Joanna Gaines worked with TJ, a US Marine veteran, and his girlfriend Stephanie to help build their dream home. The building was originally a barn that was previously converted into a house. Joanna did a fantastic job and stayed true to the traditional farmhouse style that TJ and Stephanie loved while balancing modern elements.

Our Preston cement tile pattern was used for the floor in a creative space that combined a laundry room with a home office. This room showcased Joanna’s design expertise by combining the two essential rooms in a limited space.

The colors on this handmade cement tile fit perfectly with the neutral color palette that was used throughout the entire home. The plaid look from this tile catches the eye and adds just enough flare without disrupting the overall aesthetics of the room.

The large French door makes the space feel open and allows the natural light to shine on the desk and folding table.  It’s great to imagine that TJ and Stephanie can take a quick break from laundry or work just by turning around, where they get to enjoy the views of the beautiful pastures surrounding their home.  We love that this cozy home still manages to make it feel like you are outdoors.

The episode ended with the perfect home for TJ and Stephanie, but marked the beginning of the next chapter of their lives.  Congratulations to them both on their engagement!

We miss seeing Chip and Joanna on their hit show every week but we look forward to seeing Joanna’s design process for this episode on their spin-off series, Fixer Upper: Behind the Design.  It’s always fascinating to see a master work their craft.  The episodes air on HGTV or can be viewed online.

Schmauder Group – Alexandria, VA

We love this industrial bathroom remodel that was beautifully designed by Schmauder Group, located in Alexandria, VA. They believe in a “true client partnership” where they work in a close collaboration with their clients. It definitely seems to work and this bathroom is proof!

In this all white space, there is a double vanity that parallels the shower, only to be separated by a stark black partition. Black fixtures and exposed black pipes, a key element for industrial designs, contrast with the white subway tile.

To bring this bathroom together, Schmauder Group chose to use our in stock Bristol cement tile pattern on the floor. The contrasting elements throughout the bathroom works nicely with our handmade black and white cement tile, making it stand out to become the center of attention.

We also love the small things in this project that make it work such as the use of circles throughout the entire space, the decision to use matte black finishes for the fixtures and the three different shaped tiles that are used. They even used a tv stand for the vanity!

Wherever you look, there is always something to catch your eye in this visually stunning bathroom.

Sunset Magazine – Home Makeover

The April 2018 issue of Sunset Magazine features a gorgeous remodel of an outdated ranch home for two globetrotting owners.

The home was designed by a group of 10 designers, each taking a room and creating designs based on the travels experiences of the owners. The rooms all have a unique feel, but each one is visually stunning in their design.

The pool bar of the home in Sonoma, California was exquisitely designed by Julia Katrine Designs. We are excited that our in stock Harper III handmade cement tile pattern was used to add a cool retro pattern and visual excitement to the front of the bar.

Little Women LA: Terra’s Big House

The TV drama of a full home remodel may be high, but the results from the kitchen reveal on Little Women LA: Terra’s Big House on Lifetime are stunning!

During the season, Terra and her husband Joe, embark on a huge renovation to make their home Little People friendly. But with a long wish list and tiny budget, designers Stephanie and Cory from Covet Living Interiors are challenged to redo the guesthouse before being hired to work on the main house. Although there were many challenges, we think they did an amazing job.

Our handmade Fountaine Antique cement tile pattern was used to add visual interest, and some texture, to the mostly white kitchen. The 2 color pattern works great with the stainless steel appliances and ties the whole space together.
