Tile Samples
Physical samples are the best way to experience the color, texture, finish and natural variation of our tile and architectural materials before placing an order. Samples are available for many of our cement tiles, zellige tiles, large format terrazzo, marble and stone products, breeze blocks and other specialty collections.
Because many of our products are handmade or made from natural materials, photographs and screen images cannot show every variation found in the finished product. We especially recommend ordering samples when color, texture or finish is an important part of your project, or when combining materials from different collections.
Ordering Samples
In-stock samples can generally be ordered directly from the individual product page by selecting the available sample option. Sample availability varies by product, and inventory is constantly changing.
Full tile orders and sample orders must be placed as separate online transactions. Standard online sample orders are limited to a maximum of 12 sample pieces, with a maximum of 4 pieces of any individual pattern or product. For larger sample requests, commercial projects or other special requirements, please contact us for assistance.
Sample pricing varies by product. Any applicable sample and shipping charges will be shown when ordering or provided by our customer service team.
Fast Sample Shipping
Most in-stock samples ship via FedEx 2Day. In-stock sample orders are typically processed quickly, with many shipping the same or next business day.
FedEx 2Day refers to the carrier's transit service after the shipment has been picked up. Processing time, weekends, holidays, weather and carrier conditions can affect actual delivery dates. Oversized, unusually heavy, custom or special-order samples may require a different shipping method or additional time.
Samples & Natural Variation
A sample represents the general color, material and character of a product but should not be expected to match every piece in a full order. Handmade tile and natural stone can vary in color, shade, tone, texture, dimensions, edges, veining, aggregate, glaze and surface finish.
Samples may also come from a different production batch or natural-stone lot than material purchased for a future order. For this reason, a sample should be considered representative rather than an exact guarantee of the appearance of a future shipment.
For more information about the natural characteristics of our materials, visit our Tile & Architectural Materials page or review our Frequently Asked Questions.
Custom & Special-Order Samples
Samples of products that are not currently in stock may be available by special order. Custom cement tile samples can also be produced in selected color combinations when available. Sample cost and lead time will vary depending on the product, factory and customization required.
Please contact us before ordering a custom or special-order sample so we can confirm availability, pricing and estimated lead time.
